Aside from the paint, all work was done at home on this beauty, and it's all exceptional work at that. Out back, a leaf sprung A-body 8.75 contains re-drilled axles and a 3.55 Sure-Grip. 15 x 7 Welds with 4.5" backspacing hold either 255/60's or 26 x 10.5 DOTs, depending what duty it's performing that day. Under the fenders you'll find a mostly stock suspension, save for 73-up disks. |

I never thought I'd see an original 60's motor with a standard bore running so well after all this time. An MP 280/474 cam opens the 2.14/1.88 valves in a set of Stage V heads and a Mallory Uni-Lite provides the fire. A Torker II intake holds the Holley 850 in place and a Carter high volume mechanical pump keeps the bowls full. Exhaust is currently handled with stock manifolds, as a factory Z-bar still resides underneath. Dougs headers "in-n-out" fenderwells will soon take their place along with a modified Z-bar. I'd guess performance will improve greatly. And lastly, a 68 C-body radiator with a 2.25" 3 row core keeps the whole thing running cool. |

Once those cool headers are in there making noise, I'll bet a timeslip won't be far behind. |
