What does it take to have a 10 second 440 73 swinger. Well in Dave's case it took building his own fiberglass panels to fit his liking. But first, it takes a set of Headers of course!

The project all started when Dave saw an add in the classifieds for a set of headers for a "Bigblock Dart". Dave bought the headers then started looking for a suitable car. His Brother in law had an old Dart and needed reliable transportation, so Dave traded him a 1978 Omni for the Swinger.

INTERIOR

BODY
The Fiberglass hood, trunk lid & front bumper where owner manufactured so the fit and function would be perfect. Dave then installed Fiberglass fenders and Lexan side and rear windows and removable door glass.

The trim was blacked out and the Swinger was shot with 2003 PT Cruiser Electric Blue Pearl paint.

SUSPENSION
Front:
Dave rebuild the front suspension while keeping the Six cylinder Torsion bars. And uses Lakewood 90/10 shocks.

Rear:
Super-Stock rear springs, a Pinion snubber, Long rear shocks and moving the Rear springs in three inches let some very non OEM wheels into the wells.
