    do torsion bars wear-out?

    aside from being bent for some reason,do torsion bars sag or get soft after a while? or should i just paint the old ones and put em back in?

    Being spring steel, yes they will weaken or at least change to the point where they need adjustment.

    Yeah....you should have bought mine.
    IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

    They can also break. I've had that happen and it ain't nice; it sounded like a gunshot. At least I wasn't driving at the time, though...that's why you're not supposed to beat on them or nick them.

    I had one break on my while towing my Duster to a race in Vegas from Omaha,NE. So yes they can and will get weaker and can break.
