Jon Hugo, from Deforest, Wisconsin, has owned this 70 Dart for over 14 years.
Jon is quite the fabricator, and his work can be found throughout the car. I'm sure your first question is where did Jon get the hood?
It's a 4 inch cowl from GlassTek.
Starting out back, Jon narrowed a Dana 60, installed a Trac-Lok, 3.92's and Strange axles. Chassis Engineering ladder bars were installed and the leaf springs are complimented by offset hangers and Comp Engineering floaters.
A home-bent cage occupied the cabin, but currently a 10 point Comp Engineering cage is being installed to be NHRA legal. Front suspension uses bigblock torsion bars and 73-up disk brakes.
Jon also built the 727, which holds a Cheetah body, and a Fairbanks 2500 converter. A Fairbanks manual gate shifter handles gear changes.

It seems Jon is quite a talented fellow, as he also screwed together the 440.
A stout 10:1 shortblock rests underneath a set of ported Stage IV heads. The valves are run by a custom ground UltraDyne hydraulic that features 288/296 and 485/507 lift with a 108 lobe sep.
A Team G intake directs the mix from a modified Carb Shop 830 Holley, which now sports 4-corner idle and annular discharge Boosters. And just in case Jon comes up against a big bruiser, he had Campton Hyper Sports put together a custom Nitrous system. Spent fuel exits via Hooker fenderwells, and custom 3" pipes with Flowmasters.

The fuel system for this beast consists of an RCI cell
and twin Holley Blue pumps.

Most recently, Jon added an aluminum rad and cool can, and he's currently buttoning up the legal 10-point cage. It shouldn't be too long before we can post some numbers for this excellent ride.
Keep an eye out for updates.
