my turnsignals have been out for quite some time now...I finally got my test light out and tinkered around and found that my problem is in the column....its all in the turn signal switch, after spraying it down with solvent and moving it back and forth the turn signals began to work again..problem is when i unbolt the switch to look it over it will not come out far enough for inspection, and as soon as the solvent dries the signals begin to quit working again....is it worth pulling the column and replacing this or can their be an easy fix?

Change the switch, it is the best way instead of farting around trying to make that one work. You don't need to pull the colunm to change the switch.

A couple of wires were broken on mine, right at the crimped lugs that are riveted to the switch body. I fixed them. A new switch would be nice.
