Drive Shaft

I was wonder if i can just cut down and use my stock Drive shaft for my 440 conversion. the stock shaft is from a 318/929. Also what year of car, truck, or van should i get my 727 slip yoke from. Thanks for help.

You have to use the slip yoke for the tranny you intend to use,or it could bottom out on the tail shaft and drive it into the pump.Your slip yoke is then measured for the U-jiont sizes and then you can then cut ad measure your drive shaft with the proper allowance for in and out movement,GWN
