is anybody running or have run a toyta alternator in they're car. i hooked one up and its only putting out 12.0 volts at the alt. and at the battery. i have the sense wire to the started relay and the charge wire to the battery. any suggestions?
Change the sense wire to a switched leg from the ing switch usually whichever feeds the ing system fo a internally regulated Alt. if its a ext regulator the stock mopar one can control it just hook up the field wires & the charge feed.

ok so there is a three wire plug on the alt. 1-for ign lead, 1-for the sense, 1-for a light the ign is hooked to the wire that used to run to the external regulator and the sense is to starter relay and the light is not used. should i hook the sense and ign wires at the same place??
