electircal problem

took out dash from my dart ...started car afterwards to move it ..it started and ran well....NOW TWO WEEKS LATER ....nothing.. no cranking no headlights no buzzer when turning ign. on ....the only hot lead is the hot side of the ammeter gauge...electrical not my strong suit where do I start...have wiring diagram ..thanks thank you

Those ammeters fail fairly commonly but it could just be a loose wire.  Just bypass it by putting both leads on one post.  The guage won't work any more but you should use a volt meter anyway - it's safer.
