does anyone know if i can fit 17x7 inch rims on my 72 dodge demon the suspension has stock control arms and everything there all rebuilt though it also has .920 t bars if that makes and difference it also has 73 style disk brakes.

front end should not be a problem depends on backspacing 18x8.5 fit on my lowered 67 valiant no problem back should be alright to as long as it is not dropped

front 245/4018 no problem back 275/4018 on my car because its lowered and with the 8.5 it was to wide so i had to relocate the springs flush with the framerails

When you say flush with the frame rail are they on the outside of the frame?

right under the frame rail the mopar relocation kit will do with a little tweaking alltho my car has ladderbars so i can drop it better

what kind of backspacing is healthy for a 17 inch wheel front and back?

You'll have to get under your car and measure yourself. Every car is a little different, however, I *think* that a 7" rim would need 4.25" to 4.5" of backspacing. Tire size is going to matter also. You want to keep it under 26" in overall diameter for the front (someone correct me if I'm wrong), and you can go a little taller in the rear unless you want the sizes the same.
