Dash cap
« on: December 25, 2005, 12:25:20 PM »

I just received a dash cap from year one for my 68 Dart. It is listed for 67-69 mopar a-bodies. The problem is that theres a step on top rather than being flat. I also saw listed on 1aauto.com a dash cap for a 68 dart. Is the 68 dash different from 67 and 69? This is my second time ordering from them and second bad experience. I ordered a seat cover for my bench seat and they sent me the cover for a convertible (by the way, they havent corrected this on their website). Took 7 months and 6 phones calls to get the correct seat cover. They were telling me I had the bench seat from a 69 swinger.... If u look on legendary auto interiors website, their is a 68 bench seat cover for the dart/valiant...
Am I correct for the dash cap, before I give them sh**?

Thanks

Fred

1967 dash pads had the step in them. I didn't know they made one with the step. Go to know because I have a 67 Valiant and 70 Duster with a 67 dash in it.

Do they make a dash cap with no step?

There were three listings when I ordered mine.  The 67-69 listed one was actually for 67 only.  The 68 listing is for the ones that have the lower pad so the bottom corners are different.  I ordered mine for a 69-76, and it was a flat top and fit fine.

I went through the same things! The catalogue lists dashcaps 67-69 and 69-76. I called them and they told there's early and late 69? early with the step and late without!! I also had seat cover problems. Rear seat cover they sent me was for a notchback not a fastback! Took a few monthes but I did recieve the correct one. I think that problem was Legendary, as the package was labeled correct but the cover itself was wrong, maybe misboxed??
