Rear diff question
« on: October 29, 2006, 06:58:21 PM »

Hey all, just pulled my 8 3/4 apart and found some interesting things. I thought it was an a-body diff but doing some checking, it is 54" from the center of the flange to center of the other. The spring saddles are 44" apart and the axel is 29" from outer flange to the axel end. Looks to me like a b-body rear, what do you think? It has 11x2 1/2 drums on it. What is my best route for rear discs that wont cost a fortune? I will be getting some new axels, probably Mosers but not sure, what do you guys like? Oh ya, car is a 70 Duster, 727, 3800 stall, 4:10s , 440 came out, not sure what will go back in yet lol. Have a little shot of juice on it too. Thanks ,Troy
