DC K ID?
« on: December 25, 2005, 01:10:29 PM » |

I picked up a complete 440/4 speed drivetrain for my 70 Swinger and the K frame that came with the parts is supposed to be a DC unit.
Does anyone have advice on IDing a DC unit?
I will post a few pics of it as soon as I get it unloaded from the trailer....

I know this is the place to find out if it's for real! As soon as I empty out the bed of my truck I'll shoot a few pics of the K. Holiday laziness has taken hold of me.... well, thats a year round thing but a good excuse! I didn't have the balls to even consider the BB conversion until I looked on here and saw the knowledge base to draw from. The odds of finding a problem that can't be answered here are pretty slim. Sean if you can get a few pictures of it and i know someone here will be able to ID it for you..

Don't worry! After I smoke the Chebbie guys I plan to complain about how hard of a job it was to do.... <):
This thing has to turn out well, the parts have been falling into my lap almost!

The DC k-member is pretty easy to spot. Crappy welds on the relocated spool mount saddles.
