DC K ID?
« on: December 25, 2005, 01:10:29 PM »

I picked up a complete 440/4 speed drivetrain for my 70 Swinger and the K frame that came with the parts is supposed to be a DC unit.

Does anyone have advice on IDing a DC unit?

I will post a few pics of it as soon as I get it unloaded from the trailer....

My D.C. k-frame is a spool mount unit. The bottom is open for the sway bar to slide thru.I'll try to get some part # for you.   Dave

I know this is the place to find out if it's for real! As soon as I empty out the bed of my truck I'll shoot a few pics of the K. Holiday laziness has taken hold of me.... well, thats a year round thing but a good excuse!

I didn't have the balls to even consider the BB conversion until I looked on here and saw the knowledge base to draw from. The odds of finding a problem that can't be answered here are pretty slim.

The DC k-member is pretty easy to spot. Crappy welds on the relocated spool mount saddles.
