Garage Pics...
« on: November 12, 2006, 03:07:05 PM »

Well havnt been able to work on the car again yet but I got the computor setup finally, the garage is almost fully sheetrocked and heat will be coming as soon as the budget allows, here's a couple pics of the new garage for those who asked...24x30 with a 11'3" ceiling to clear a lift....Messy but we're still unpacking, had to empty our storage unit into the garage before I could finish sheetrocking....

Luckily most of the stuff in the pics except the car, bikes and benches will be gone once we sort the stuff out of the boxes...I hate moving!...

Huh car? what car?

You have to look close, it's there under the cardboard, behind the sheetrock, next to the stack of junk

That'll be nice when it's all done. You should think about the new small tube flourescents; gosh they light up your shop like the sun! (And cheaper energy costs)

I feel for you, I just moved myself, and my garage does not look as good as yours, I believe I have too much junk in there, plus I have one storage shed full.  I hope to have it all cleaned up by new years.  You will enjoy it once you are done with the move!

Nice garage. I had to rent out a storage unit to empty mine. I tried to find a shop to work on mine but the minimum I found was $1,500.00 / mo. I opted for a 10 x 20 for $120.00 / mo and that was a good decision. It's much easier to walk into my garage and give it 45 - 60 Min. then to drive to a shop to work. On the subject of a lift I was restricted to 9'-6" so I opted for a shop crane from Harbor Freight ($299.00) and their electric wench ($117.00). Great for restoration but won't work for lifting the whole car. Just the ticket for lifting one end to stuff an Alterkation in or a rear end in. Check out the pics.

Thanks guys, sorry took so long to reply, Comcast royally screwed up my internet connection, so bad that I had to cancel the service and go DSL after a week+ of bitching, anyway to answer a few questions, the lighting will be six, 8-foot shop lights with the small tubes and hi output ballasts to come on instantly, there will be running water for a utility sink and hoping to have the sheetrock done this weekend....Will post more pics when it's done, as far as uncorked thunder, my Harley with shorty pipes is deafening in there, I cant wait to hear the Demon with open headers!  Evil
