8.75 axle interchange-

I was told that the axle assy out of the old A-100 is the same dimensionally as an A-body.  True or false???

I doubt it.what year a-100 are you referring to?

I measured the housing in my garage and the one on the A-100- they seem to be the same- the difference is that the perches are on top instead of on the bottom.  Honestly Im not sure what year it is, but it has a 741 carrier...   3.91s!!!

Incidentially- my axle (both) measure a half inch bigger than the specs on the tech pages- whats up- are they inaccurate, or were my axles built on a Monday or Friday???

Anyone know of any other differences I shoiuld be aware of???   I can get like, 3 or four of these things...are they close?   close enough       ??
