I have been wanting one and finally found one,a 1971 Dodge Dart.A little rough but no major rot.The body is pretty straight. It's the worst shade of blue i have ever seen. And then there's Caddy engine under the hood.I am not making this up.However there is alot of possibilities, namely the 440 i have sitting out in the shop.I'd like to think this site is my "ace in the hole".Lucky for me everyone here seems smarter than me.I may have a or two in the future.Take it easy.

That would be neat to see! I guess you could consider a 472 or 500 caddie motor a big block right?? (sarcasm)I bet it would be the ONLY one of its kind on this site!!

Let's see, where to start.First off it's not your daddys caddy engine.(rats) It's a 81 motor.I'm thinking scrap,i have enough junk laying around here.As to my handle i own a Westernstar and i don't think my Cat will fit.Besides that i would need one wicked hood scoop.I would be happy to post pictures if someone could tell me how it's done.Type s-l-o-w-l-y.

no kiddin.....well if it aint a big daddy caddie engine then I think you should scrap it and put your cat in it......all's ya needs is some bailin' wire and some duck tape.....some WD-40, gauze pad and a #5 ball bearing.... ![\/][](http://www.bigblockdart.com/Smileys/classic/finger020.gif)

Thanks Dave. Here's a little nugget for you.In order for the previous owner to install the Caddy engine he had to remove the tie rod for clearance. He then cut the ends off the tie rod and welded them on a piece of 1 inch square tubeing.TA-DA,a new tie rod.I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP.Also this mod was done to another part,i think it's the drag link.Stay tuned.

now we definately need pics of this car. As soon as make enough posts then i will be able to post pics.Did i mention that the upper radiator support has been removed? I have that part in my shop. Also the k-member looks like it may need attention, nothing to serious though. And by the way, the folks i got the Dart from were very nice and eager sellers.
