any discounts for B.B.D. members?  Grin

Richard

What I am trying to do is give everyone a discount, how much depends on the products. Every company I handle has different costs and charges, then there are the shipping and handling charges they seem to sneak in there and then there is the Credit Card Sharks that nail you. So after saying all of that, here is an example, A big time manufacture has a widget that sells to the public for $100.00, he sells it to me for a 10% discount = a $10.00 profit, Wrong!!!! Take the Credit Card Shark that wants their cut of the action, = 3.2% of the sale price = $1.60, now the profit margin has dropped from $10.00 to $8.40. Next you need to pay the Credit Card Shark outfit a thing called a Transaction fee, this is $0.25 for every transaction you have, now the profit margin has dropped from $10.00 to $8.40 to $8.15. Next the Credit Card Shark outfit charges a monthly fee for letting them rape you, this amount could be as high as $25.00...... Get the picture.... Next you have the IRS wanting there share..... So to answer your question again, I am trying to give everyone a discount......... And before someone says to me, "I bet the company example you gave is Bull" well it isn't, I even carry a product that has less than a 10% margin and yes there are others at a small percentage higher. I hope this answers your question......

If you feel that I am honest enough to be fair to everyone, will you send me a picture of your car? and send it to nicksclassicparts@cox.net

If you think I Bulled you, I am sorry.......

Hi Nick,

I wasn't trying to put you on the spot, but what kind of a hot rodder would I be if I didn't at least ask for a good price!  Wink Grin I haven't paid "retail" prices for a LONG time, as I have built up a network of friends in the automotive industry. Do you have a store front, or are you doing everything on-line? If you do have a walk in store, where are you located so those of us in AZ can come visit you? I ALWAYS support local business owners if they have what I need, as I LIKE doing business with PEOPLE, not COMPUTERS if at all possible. I wish you the VERY best of luck with your new business and I will look forward to talking with you when a need comes up for my cars and trucks.

thanks Mike, I am glad you like where the picture ended up....

Richard, No offense taken, I just wanted to let you know that the markup on most of the products is not that great and I am willing to help eveyone save if I can, there will also be times I can't, but I will try.
I just posted a 10% off Christmas sale, I will loose on some items and makeup the loss on others I hope.......
As far as your pictures, your 67 pic is to grainy, do you have a really clear shot of it?

Hey, WHENEVER you guys plan a little trip down to Tucson, let me know. The 'Cuda's not ready for it, but hey, that's what the truck's for!! It'd also be a great opportunity for us to finally meet.

And Nick, I also wish you the best of luck with your new business! Hopefully we can meet sometime soon!

Come to think of it, I should start making a list of all the parts I need for my project... but I dont think this notebook has enough pages in it

Besides, I have a habit of tearing things apart and not being able to put them back together again.  \/][  Any volunteers?  Tongue
