Front Disc Conversion Question regarding the Spindles

Hey guys!... just have a quick question for the forum. 

I am converting my front drums to disc.  I purchased the Wilwood conversion set from Magnum and also a set of 73-74 spindles. 

The spindles have some small grooves going around the spindles (wear grooves).  There are not alot but I just want to make sure I do this correctly the first time (I hope!)... anyway, my question is what is the best practice with used spindles.  Should I have these polished/machined or ?  What do you guys normally do? 

Thanks for the help.  My car is a 68 Dart with 833 and 8 3/4 rear and very fast and fun... too much so for the drum brakes...

first check the kit to see if what spindle it needs.

Polish them with a crocus cloth. What really matters is the bearing race (which will be new with the hub). BTW be really careful when you press the race into the hub. The hub is made out of aluminium and you can damage it if you dont press the race straight. Have someone do it if your not too sure.
