Graphic for website
« on: November 28, 2006, 04:46:25 PM »

I'm in the middle of building my website ,"Hot Car Art.com" , and was wondering what opinions I might get from you guys for eye catching graphics. Remember; this isn't just a Mopar site. I had to put different makes of cars in it. Thats why (for this graphic) I chose the cars i did. Anyway; here's a sample of what I have so far

I like it, BUT due to the fog around the lights the logo might look more like it's part of the picture if it has some, too. Or the contrast is just different than the pic.

i think all your stuff looks great, i think the cars should be bigger and more of the focul point,i also think color would help the page as well as any movement or color changes to the page will  catch the eye.how about something like a car showroom with the cars on a carousel or line up,then when you click on the car it fills the whole page?

I like it.....I'd change the clouds from a bank to multiple cirrus, but that's just me....I see the influence of members cars, very flattering to this site.....

i think it looks great...something that i think would be cool for your title would be to do it like an old diner sign or like the flashing lights in las vegas...make it look like they are parked in front of the shop and have the light flickering on the sign just to add to the creativity...i think that would be pretty cool but thats my opinion

Well exactly this. I have found that there is a market fior this kind of stuff; so I'll be advertizing on sites such as Hotrodders.com,  to "personalize" peoples cars by "car-tuning" them for use in posters; avatars, T-shirts, etc. I don't know of anybody out there so far that does "specific" work other than the paint renderers (which charge at least 4 times what I do)

Cool! Nothing like making a hobbie into a business... They say if you really love what you do you'll never work another day in your life.
Hope it works out well for ya. Looks like you found quite the niche for yourself.

I was thinking the same thing, that building needs neon signage.  Other than that, it looks great Cool

Ken,

I was just thinking about your art work and then thought about some of my diecast cars, which include many of the 1/18 scale "Muscle Machines"  like those in my pictures below. I wonder if they could use an artist with your awesome talent to do their art work? Hint-Hint  Wink Grin Cool

i think it looks great, only change i would make would be where the light hits the pavement, the transition between
the dark and limits of where the light ends needs to be feathered more so the light gradually fades away into the
darkness, ez to do with photoshop not sure what software you were using, just my opinion, everything else looks
superb.
