For your '68 Bee (Road Runner and Charger) power assist was offered for drum brakes option 451 and mandatory on disk brakes option 495. Two boosters were available. The midland Ross unit had a ring clamp holding the halves together whilte the Bendix had notched outer edges. The Hemi cars had their owen special double diaphram Bendix units.
Bendix 4 cylinder calipers were used on '68 and '69. It used a a special booster different from the Hemi cars.
Power boosters were used with both the 10" and 11" drum brakes.
I'm confused by your last question.

I have the standard heavy duty 11" drums on the '69 Road Runer and the stopping power is great. I had a '70 GS Buick with manual brakes and it was a two footer. Can't wait to drive our GTX. I'll come to Jersey for that. Tom

why do you think my r/t came with no booster? it has power steering......my R/T is the matching car, but i want disc brakes. thats why im putting the origional gtx brakes and booster on it. it would also be the one i sell if i had to....the GTX is a keeper, so i figure the aftermarket brakes are the deal. whattya think?

Maybe the car was special ordered that way. The guy wanted power steering because of the big car / engine but didn't think he needed the power brakes. If you havn't driven a B body with the 11" x 3" brakes up front, you will be pleasantly surprised at how well it stops. I agree with the swap on the numbers car. If you need a kit for the GTX, MP brakes makes a good factory appearing kit. They have an edge over SSBC. MP carries spindles and I don't think SSBC does. I have the MP kit for the Dart. If either of you need the factory part numbers for the '68, I have those. Let me know. Tom (Plymouth Makes It program)

Take a look under the dash and see if there is any linkage on the brake pedal. Power brakes had a linkage to actuate the booster. If I remember correctly, the standard brakes just had a straight push rod from the pedal to the master cyl.
