So i had this idea for raising some more funds for ye old
...  buying a mopar keychain for a fellow member as a gift  santa2



I figure for your $10 donation to bigblockdart.com, I would mail one of these beauties to the member (or other mopar fanatic) of your choice.  This helps lots of people:

 - I feel good by donating the keychains and postage,
 - Your friend feels good about getting a keychain from such a good friend
 - Bill feels good because I hear web hosting is expensive
 - You get the best deal because you feel good for making it happen!

Quantities are limited, so act NOW!

I'm a broke college kid, but I can offer some advice. Not sure what kind of host Bill is using, but www.globat.com offers 100gb of hosting space and 1000gb of transfer for $7 a month. Not sure how much transfer space Bill needs, but 1000gb should be plenty, and they've been a very good host for us for just over 3 years now.

If you're paying more then that, I'd definitely look into them

Dude, which is the greater sacrifice, $9 extra for an awesome mopar keychain or you GIVING AWAY your whole collection of keychains??  You're awesome; keep up the good work.  I'm really hoping to nab one of those for someone but a)what if you don't know they're address and b)I may not have $10 before they all run out.

Has to be a dedicated server. There's more to web traffic than transfer rates. Right now there are over 100,000 visitors a month to the site, generating over 7,000,000 hits - that equates to well over 10 million server requests a month - a shared account would lock up with less than a quarter of that traffic. Between this site and the RMS site, a dedicated server is busy 24-7, so the cheap accounts are out of the question.

On the other hand though, I don't mind it at all. Any donations are of course appreciated, but entirely voluntary. I'm happy either way.
  In fact, I'll once again be changing servers in the next month or two - I'm going back to a company I used a few years ago - they're in Ill., so the site will respond faster being in the center of the country. They also will not shut the site down like we've seen happen this year. My current host has terrible service and is way too big to respond quickly to problems.... One little glitch and the site is down for hours instead of minutes.

It's like deja vu...I was talking about a server change last december too....

I think the easiest way to do it would be to paypal the $10 to bill@bigblockdart.com mentioning the keychain thing, and PM me the the name and address of the recipient.  And Bill, if you could PM me when someone pays, that'd be awesome
