I've got a Dakota, same thing. I love it, wouldnt trade it for any other truck except for maybe a Hemi Ram  Grin.  Dead reliable, good towing, comfortable and peppy.

The only thing that sucks is gas mileage.

Loved mine while I had it.  It developed a bad driveline vibration and I traded it in for my Ram...  I put 45K miles on it and it had 80K on it when it was traded in.  I had the upper BJs replaced under recall and the front driveshaft (u-joints) went bad at about 70K miles...had it replaced under warranty.  The A/C worked up until it was 110*+ outside...then it would turn on and off when I would approach a stop sign or red light.  Had it checked three times and gave up...  Other than that, I loved it!!

Wifes '99 5.9 2wd. Pretty quick for a heavy pig. Sucks gas--mid to upper teens on vacation trips loaded and speeding. Low teens in town. Bought w/ 54k, now at 88k miles. Ball joints, all a-arm bushings, front rotors/pads,2 door lock actuators,l/f window regulator. A/C subpar especially for Arizona, heater weak. Too cramped for me (6'1" /245 lb). Can you tell I dont like it anymore? On the plus side it has a front bench so we went from a 7 pass van to 8 pass in this. My father in law is currently on his 3rd Dakota and is talking about another so I guess its just me.
