I'm pretty sure the chrome ones are 68 and the one with the rings are 69.

I may be wrong on this, but my understanding is that all of the solid chrome wheels with no trim rings are Magnum 500's and are based off of the original wheels used on the early Shelby GT 350 and GT500's and optional on regular production Mustangs and other Ford cars. All later wheels that look like the original Magnum 500's but have trim rings are called Road Wheels.

Hey Tom, On the 1967 -1968 option code #580, they call them chrome "Magnum 500" "Road Wheels" with no mention of trim rings On the 1969 option code #w21, they call them "Road Wheels" with trim rings and then "Magnum 500" is listed. So once again I've learned something new on about these old cars! It's kind of strange though, as when you go to buy these "Magnum 500" wheels, they do not offer the 69 and up wheels with the trim rings that I've noticed, so I guess that's why I thought that only the early one piece, all chrome wheels were considered Magnum 500's, such as the original Ford wheels were. Thank you my wise teacher, "grass hopper" is impressed with your vast wheel knowledge! Either way, I REALLY love these wheels in either version santa4 Richard

Soetimes I feel like Steelies, sometimes I don't. Wheel Vintiques sells the trim ring wheels. They do not sell the correct trim ring. Stockton doesn't sell the correct trim ring either although I would rather drive a Chevy than give them any money. They have a rolled edge rather than the "flange". I think you can still buy rings from Chrysler for about $100. At that price I bought the incorrect ones. The rubber on the styles wheels is only 6.7" wide and they go up in smoke pretty easy. Chryco: your car looks sweet in the mag. Do you still ahve the Road Wheels? Tom

Chryco: your car looks sweet in the mag. Do you still ahve the Road Wheels? Tom Hey thanks Tom . Yes I`ve got them in mothballs until I get bored with the American Racing Mags and big tires. The F70 are kind of a little worse for wear and tear though ! Merry Christmas ! Chryco
