i'm using one of those new detroit true trac units in my 8 3/4.  Its a posi but has no clutches or cones to wear out, has gears instead.  So far i like it alot, no problems, its quiet, and the price was competitive with other older clutch/cone style posi units.

Trac-Loc/ower-Loc is what Dana called the clutch type.  its exactly like the sure grip and uses clutches that you can remove and replace yourself.

Of course there the "Lockers and such" if your wallet id PHAT
