Location is going to vary depending on how you intend on the cage being configured, seat position, etc.  I would personally just follow the rules  that you plan on meeting test fit the bars, mark their location, and weld the plates to match.  I am hoping to work on mine in the next few weeks while on vacation from work, and will be getting some pics.  Not sure how useful they will be...

i think a couple of guys took 6469 mopar a little too seriously......this motor with a few small changes (motor plate, low mount alternator, electric water pump) is going in not one of them bowtie anchors.......

for my main hoop i ran a peice of 2x3 tubing from the frame connectors to the rocker so the was something solid to mount to and the rest of the bars i put on  a plate above a frame rail or cross member

I tied my main hoop into the frame connectors using a kicker as well. The downstruts are on the kicker as well. No real good pics but you can sort of see it here in this one.

I have plates welded over the rear framerails for the rear struts to tie into. Cant see them in the photo but they are there. And yes the car is fully painted now..

Car is 100% legal to go 7.50 for now...Cert expires in 08 and will only be 8.50 then. Those are all older pics before the car was complete. But thanks just the same. Was going for the sleeper look not sure I made it though lol bash

it did a mid. 15 when i bought it in florida, bone stock 318, 2bb,l 71/4 1 legger and about 20 lbs. of beach sand left by the previous owner drinks.

It now has an 8 3/4 with 3:73's,moser axles,2 1/2" drums,relocated springs and frame connecters,b&m prepped 727,glass hood.plans are for a semi mild 360 stroker with eddie heads,single plane intake,demon carb and tti's.
Hoping to have a mid. twelve car with high 11 potential, what do you think?

i would be happy to see it on the track this summer, basically all it needs is a steering column and an engine,so it's all about $ at this point.we'll see.I went with the smallblock because this car will see alot of street time and i like the better handling of a smallblock, plus this thing will go faster than i need to anyways. But I would bet If I had found this site earlier she'd have a 440 in it Cheesy I am also hoping to have a charger or super bee someday so i would get my BB fix there. I will be there sunday to watch if you are gonna run i will definately say hi.would love to see your car too.

I will be there if the Sun is out. The car does not like cold track temps to much. So as long as the sun is shining I will be racing, of course there has not been a lot of that going. on lately. I will also be at Sac on 1/1/07 if the weather is good.
