WHat's the deal with the orange parking lights up front for the 68 Darts? I don't think I've ever seen them on a car, but have seen a pair at a swap meet before, and in pictures.
Also, the grilles with beaks - there's a GTS on ebay right now with a beak grille saying it's 1 of 50 such cars, I've only seen a handful of those grilles. what's the story on them? Were they only for 68?

i have only seen one with a beak,and it was in a picture.so they must be rare.i think they are ugly too.

The grille medallion is a GTS only piece, but there were probably more than fifty built with them. There has been lots of speculation, but the general concensus seems to be that it was early cars that got it (like through the end of August 1967). My GTS has one (SPD of 8/28/67), but the whole front end sheetmetal, grille, and bumper were replaced in 1970 due to an accident. So, I am assuming the medallion was also replaced. I also prefer the 68 grille with it and I couldn't see my GTS any other way.
