I only have 8

70 Dart <--- Had this one since I was 18, don't plan on ever selling it
72 Charger <--- No excuse for this one, it was just in too good of shape to leave it in that junkyard
73 Swinger <--- /6 beater (plan to put my spare 318 and 833 in it eventually)
74 Duster <--- Race car project (someday)
84 Ram <--- My work truck
82 Ram Charger <--- My 4x4
03 Neon <--- Daily beater
03 VW Golf <----Wifes car, not mine

Fortunately I don't have to worry about my neighbor, he's into old tractors, so he doesn't mind all my cars, the trucks are the only ones that sit out though, the A bodies, and the B body sit in my shop, the beaters sit under a carport.

Pretty nice collections guys! Here is mine.

1973 Dart (putting a 383, 727 trans, 8 3/4 rear in the baby)
1970 Chrysler 300 (restoration, bought it for $1,000 and was offered $40,000 for it but I just love it)
1963 Chrysler 300 (hunk of junk, rusted out 1/4 panels, no trunk floor, no passenger fender or door, no hood or trunk lid, came with a bunch of parts I got off a guy. Its my 'learn body work the hard way car'!)
1979 Dodge D-200 Army Issued P/U (318 engine, 833 4 speed trans, Dana 60 rear, going to restore it and drive it)

I also got my daily driver 1995 Chevy Blazer, but I dont own that my parents due. For being 18 and paying for them in cash I have been lucky getting these cars I can tell you that much. (Trying to get a 71 Dart and 72 Gold Duster off of a guy too)

7 cars

1966 Dart GT 273 4brl rust bucket project that's going slowly
http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dll?ep=87&subpageid=163149&ck=

1973 Dart Swinger 318 2brl  Previous daily driver, hate to do it, but it's for sale, I need the space
http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dll?ep=87&subpageid=163150&ck=

1980 Mercedes 300D 5 cyl 3.0 L diesel   Bought as a $300 parts car, 10 minutes with a vacuum gauge and it's my new daily driver, also for sale because it's an eyesore.

1980 Camaro Berlinetta  350 swapped in, stock 6cyl drive train.  Not sure what I was thinking.  Bought it off a tow truck driver name "Bronco" for cheap in December thinking it would be a nice project.  Put a car cover on it, realized what I had done, and put an ad in the paper.  Not a bad foundation for a project, but I'm just not a Cramaro guy.

1983 Mercedes 240D 4 cyl 2.4 L diesel.  0-60 is just over 20 seconds.  Downhill in 1983 maybe.  Apparently Mercedes had no problem putting a 55hp motor in a 4500 lb car.  Dangerously slow around here in the race to nowhere.  My mother bought it new, so I'm stuck with it.  At least it's nice inside and out. And fueling up once a month is nice.

1986 Monte Carlo built 454 swapped in, turbo 350 swapped in, stock 10 bolt rear.  My grenade with the pin pulled.  FUN car to drive.  Just afraid of testing the limits of GM drive trains.  Supposedly runs mid 12's.  Bought turnkey from a friend after he ate up another friend with a Lightning.
http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dll?ep=334&fileid=1178746&groupid=220325&folderid=162036&curRec=2&folderview=thumbs&ck=

2006 Dodge Caravan 4cyl 2.something.  Wife's church bus.  Kinda disappointed.  Bought new, now with 18K on the clock it sounds like the idler pulley is going again.

Hmmm. no nineties car?

Tese are what I have right now and half are daily drivers  even though they are restored.
1940 Packard 180 (san fran worlds fair show car)
1941 Packard 120 business coupe
1948 Lincoln convertable coupe (1 of 16 left) not a continential
1961 amc metropolitan
1964 Valiant signet 200
1969 crharger R/T
1970 Challenger 440 6 pack
1973 polara
1975 corvette
2003 PT

We have 28 more antiques in the family that are not mine from 48 on back to 1912, and who knows how many newer cars, newer cars in our family is anything built after 1960. I love cars and drive everyone I have as much as possible when im not fixing something on them. Ive been trying to get all the cars together for one big picture but cant find enough drivers that can get together at one time. Guns are another big passion. My wife collects Pandas and has about 8000 so she doesnt mind the cars and guns.

I will get some pictures too.  The cuda that is being restored is still on the rotisserie last I heard, but I will see what I can do.  The R/T is more than likely the only one I cannot get a picture of.  We are in South Dakota and it is in my in-laws farm shed thing about an hour and a half away and we have a lot of snow.

I suspect that "survey" included every vehicle in the country because there's no other way that there's two cars for EVERY licensed driver unless there's a lot more unlicensed ones out there than I think. We have our fair share, though.
67 Dart GT convertible
67 Barracuda convertible
68 GTS convertible (real)
79 Power Wagon
84 Ramcherger 2WD (trying to sell once we get the bugs worked out)
87 Daytona Shelby Z
89 LeBaron Turbo GTS convertible (TII/5sp)
89 LeBaron Turbo GTS convertible (TII/5sp) (not a typo - we have two of the 906)
95 LeBaron 3.0 GTC convertible
Beat up old car trailer

All on our 10,000 sq ft city lot.......and a couple parked on the street......

And, it certainly is NOT the business of ANYBODY ELSE what I have put away.

A national survey revealed that there are two car for every registered driver in the USA.  Why so many cars, are people using gas efficient cars for daily transportation and the gas hogs for family type activities?  Are we hoarding the older cars to make a fortune several years from now at the BJ auctions?  How many Mopar project cars do you have?
*******************************************************************************
More importantly, why is it anybody's business other than my/your own?  I would automatically question the validity of this "survey", knowing that most survey results can (and usually are) manipulated by the questions asked.  There is also the motive of the folks or group funding the survey.

Personally, it's none of my business how many, or what type of projects any of you have.  I figure it's good enough for me that you/we have a mutual interest in cars, and may at sometime be an ali in a common cause, should the need arise.

Roger
I like the way you think. Thats exactly my perspective. I've got 3 vehicles that are mine(4 if you count my project bike) and all are projects. Personally If somebody came to my door and said I have to many vehicles and that I really only need one He'd leave my doorstep with a broken jaw. Far as I'm concerned you stay in your yard I'll stay in mine, you provoke me by coming my my yard and you'll get it.

My neighbour down the street likes to play that game(poking his nose where it don't belong) reving his "corvette" powered nova(lol just a stock 350) when he leaves his house during the summer. when my brother and dad get his 79 aspen done their going to idle that car down the street past his house with open headers and leave some rubber out front.
