I just used a A-body small block one when i did mine, but i made all my own linkage too so i could put everything where i wanted too. If your using a reproduction z-bar, that may not work for you. I had a blowproof bellhousing so i just used some of the factory stuff i had around and made my own setup.

Hey Chad could you possibly post some pics of your z-bar setup? I'm trying to set up a blowproof with TTI headers . I have the Brewers z-bar but it hits blowproof and headers.I've posted this several times and no one even replied.Any pointers or ideas on what z-bar to start with or any hints at all?   Thanks  Dave

I have to take pictures of all of my stuff for sale today anyway, I'll try to make sure I get you some pics of the bellcrank and the pivot that mounts to the scattershield.

Mine I believe started life as a small block bellcrank before it was majorly modified.  I know it doesn't look real pretty, but it does the job and that's all that mattered to me.  Besides, I was just thankful for my best friend 446acuda making it for me years ago.  The bracket nearest the scattershield is 1" offset towards the shield and the other bracket is 2" offset towards the fender.  Both start their offset after they are 1" away from the outside diameter of the bellcrank.  The bracket nearest the scattershield is 3 1/2" from the outside diameter of the bellcrank to the center of the pivot.  The other bracket is 3 3/4" from the outside diameter of the bellcrank to the center of the pivot.  The brackets are 5 1/4" away from each other where they are welded to the bellcrank.  The angle for the one nearest the fender, since it was cut off and moved to new position, it is 135 degrees from the one nearest the scattershield.  In other words, if you layed the bracket nearest the scattershield flat on the ground and put a 90 degree triangle next to it it would only be off the ground 45 degrees or half the side of the 90 degree triangle. The total length of the bellcrank is 7 3/8" long with the bracket nearest the shield being only 1" in from the end and the outer bracket being only 1/4" from it's end.

Now that I have you probably thoroughly confused, the bracket that mounts to the scattershield I'll just put as an attachment.  Both bolt holes are 9/16" that have been wallered out a little from top to bottom.

I hope this helped.

Brad

The total length of the bellcrank is 7 3/8" long with the bracket nearest the shield being only 1" in from the end and the outer bracket being only 1/4" from it's end.

I described the ends wrong, the bracket on the end nearest the scattershield is 1/4" and the end nearest the fender is 1" from it's end.

I sent the drawing I made of the scattershield bracket to your email address since it was too large of an attachment to allow me to post it here.? I hope this helped.? If you need any more info please let me know.

Brad thanks so much for the pictures. Great help.Chad thank you also for the P.M. I really appreciate all the help.I have the Brewers set-up but it wont fit. It hits my TTI headers and blowproof bellhouseingThe bracket on the bellhouseing will work so i don't have to make that one.I need to find someone selling a bellcrank so i can modify it to work. Both pivot points are in line so  i just have to find a z-bar.Thanks again.  Dave thank you
