That was Jake the Milkman Mulligan.
Close......I think it was Milliman or something like that.  I remember Jesse the Body grabbing him by the beard and swinging him in a 360 degree arc for about three revolutions .......... arms fully extended and releasing him to fly over the top rope.
Jake was holding on to Jesse's forearms and his legs were straight out.
Maybe the greatest hold I have ever seen.
I was never a Ken Patera fan until a buddy pointed out how he would pin an oponnent till a two count , lift him up so he could laugh at the camera and proceed to administer more punishment.
I grew up with the A.W.A. and had to watch it every Saturday morning because my Grandma dug Vern Gagne.
Note to Sgt. Slaughter.............we didn't ask.  You didn't have to tell !
Wrestling today is a human cartoon.

One of my friends here at work was a wrestler. Not a name guy, he was one of those stiffs that would get beat up. He got beat up by Big Boss Man, Jake the Snake Roberts and Coco Bware. He has the video to prove it.

I actually got into the local wrestling with him years ago. It was TOUGH! I decided to get into motocross instead. Yeah good choice. I broke my back, ribs, concussions etc. etc.

Was his name Jake "The Milkman " Milliman ?  He always took a beatin'
No, he was just a no name guy.

Anybody Remember Kamala? He was the big African dude with a moon and a star painted on his chest! He always slapped himself on the belly and yellped at the camera. I watched wwf for years, and the I grew out of it for a while. I did start watching it again when The Rock was up and coming. There is NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY that can talk smack like he could.  Hr would call ther rudypoo candya##es and the like. You can find alot of his rants on youtube. They are STILL hiarious. IF YA SMELLLLLLLLLL ..........................nevermind, you know the rest!!

When I was in my 20's I used to go to Powerhouse gym in Seattle to throw some weight around. The WWF would come to the gym before the show at the Tacoma Dome. I saw lots of them in Person

I watched the Undertaker and he looked to be about 6'10". He was covered in Harley Davidson clothing. The macho man was in quite a bit.

The most ripped guy looked to be the Ultimate Warrior. He was an animal on the weights.

Razor Ramon was a lazy bum. he would load up the straight bars and machines with weight and wouldn't rack anything. He also walked around like he was Billy Bad Ass. Is I was big enough I would have said something.  lol

I saw Brett Hart, Jim the Anvil, Owen hart

A guy that scared me a little was Sid Viscious also called Psycho Sid. He carried his crazy personality into the gym.

I can say that the TV didn't do them justice. I'm 6' 3" and looked up at all of them.

If you mention Andre the Giant you can't leave out Big John Stud,King Kong Bundy,The Iron Shiek,They were always battling it out.My father does wedding phtography and vid on the side.He did a wedding for Corporal Punishment. He got to meet alot of WWF wrestlers including the one and only Iron Shiek.I actually have a picture of him signed that my dad brought home for me.I got a real charge out of that.I also got a picture of him with Muhammed Ali.Just goes to show you how long he's been around.I didn't think the Shiek was still around.

 carl

You read my mind Carl.

I few other names I can think of.

Bruno Sammartino and Pedro Morales.

Ken Patera

Who was the Canadian guy that always used to get beat? He wore elbow pads or knee pads I think?  late-70's.

Edit: Above answer is "Iron" Mike Sharpe.

I believe Wrestlemania '86 still holds record for the biggest crowd ever for an indoor event

One of the best things that ever happened was when Stone Cold DDT'd? Vince McMahon and Vince was "convulsing" on the mat. Mid 90's I think.
