Pic Resizing Service
« on: January 10, 2007, 11:40:49 PM »

Ok, since the pic resizing sticky has been taken down, there's been a lot of posts asking about it, and I figured the easiest way to solve that is to volunteer to do them myself and/or create a single place for many people to help.

So, I created an e-mail account.

BBDPics@gmail.com

If you need pics resized or hosted, send them to that e-mail. I'll shrink them down to fit on the forum, and host them on a photobucket account, then email you the links to post here on the forums. Cheesy

We all know how much everyone here loves pictures, so pull out those ones you haven't done because you didn't know how to resize them, and shoot them to that e-mail, don't be shy Wink

Don't feel bad if you can't help out. I spend a lot of time on the computer anyways (since my Dart is approx. 300 miles away from me at the moment), so I'll have no problem keeping up with things, I'm sure.

To reiterate, each picture takes an average of about 30 seconds from the time I download it from my e-mail to the time it's hosted on photobucket. I have Photoshop set up to where I can do them all pretty quick Smiley So like I said, it's no problem at all.

making the picture semi-transparent would be easy, but as for putting it behind an e-mail as a background, I have no clue how you would do that Tongue

are you as good with photo shop and changing car colors as you are in resizing

I would love to have the green 69 turned into a white with red stripe and white interior

That is as close to my brothers `69 as I have ever seen. He ask me a few years ago if I had pictures of it. He sold it in the late 70's and the guy totaled it. My brother got divorced and his ex might have had some pictures of it but cannot ask her since she passed away a about 5 years ago.

69 Big Block GTS premium interior..........LOVE IT!

Thanks eldubb, I'm just doing my part to contribute, and since I don't have near the knowledge of many of the members here, I just went with what I do know Smiley Besides, I enjoy it Wink

WildCat: Here's what I have so far after the color change. I realized with this project that I had to use a completely different method then what I was used to in order to take color away and make it white, so I learned something new in the process. Thank You for that Wink

The interior change is proving to be trickier then I originally thought, so that one may take a little while. I think the best option would actually be to try to find a similar dart that already has the white interior and has a similar camera angle as this shot, otherwise it's very hard (if even possible) to change the color of something that's behind glass while keeping the reflection of the glass.

It's showing up fine for me, except that it's a little distorted. Would you like me to resize it so it fits better?

Well I just sent in to have a pic resized. You guys might think this is weird but I also have a myspace page and my dart is on it. Dont ask me why I dont have a picture on the website, my wife just did and she was shocked....like I just kicked the dog! She said, you have been on that website for about 9 years and you dont have a photo? well, other than the early early photo in the tech section on B-body headers in an A-body....no hammer

Sorry everyone, but I'm incredibly busy with getting settled down again now after graduation, and I'll need to take a little break from the pic resizing until I get some extra time again. I'll keep you updated on when I can start doing it all again.

Edit: Ok, I'm back in business. Got my computer hooked up again and I'll get to the pictures when I can, although I may not be able to make my within-24-hours like I used to, at least I can do them Cheesy

Just noticed that an edit doesn't let everyone know there's a new post. So, here's a new post.

Please E-mail any pictures you want resized to bbdpics@gmail.com, and I'll get them out as soon as I can. I can still do photochops as well in limited quantities.
