'67 Dart. Wheel wells and springs relocated per the tech pages. Inside wheel well massaged and lip trimmed per my photo gallery.

MT 325 / 50 / 15's on 15" x 10" wheels with 7.25" backspacing on a standard width A body rear end will give you 3/4" side clearance. I missed the backspacing by 1/4" therfore I have a strong 1/2" on the outside and a weak 1" on the inside. This is also with Ford Explorer disk brakes.

Exactly. The wheel shop that I used, www.wheelvintiques.com, will go up to an 8" backspacing. I have a standard A body width rear.

If your doing a Demon or Duster you can use the same tire on a 10" rims with just 6.5 backspacing which there is a few readily avoilable rims for...

No, but I am close. I am gathering all of the remaining parts for brakes this week.

You have two choices for the emergency brake cable when running the Ford Motorsport 11" rotor kit. First is go to the wrecking yard and retrieve the rear cable harness mechanism from a 1996 to 2000 Ford Explorer. Mustang E-brake parts might fit, but Mustang brake hoses will not fit. The kit is '96- 2000 Explorer. I had to call Ford Racing Dept to confirm interchangeability. This is what I did. I am going to have to adapt the stock front Mopar cable to the rear harness. Looks pretty easy.

I called ford and they say the only new solution for the emergency brake cable is a Lokar version. Ford doesn't carry replacement cables, only pressure brake system hoses. I quickly browsed Lokar at Summit and a see some pictures that we could make work. I don't have any part numbers.

I will post pics when I get this finished in the next couple weeks. If you need options for brake hoses let me know.

Huh  After all that fooling around with the Explorer rear disk, wouldn't you have been better off with the rear disk set-up from Strange or the Wilwood set-up?  Have you compared the cost of your installation with the complete kit from Strange when you ordeer your rear?  Did you save anything?  Why go this route?

I thought there was Mustang interchangeability until this week. Ford Motorsport tech line says the kit is Explorer. The good new is there are lots of Explorer's in the wrecking yard, hoses can be bought from any parts store (they are Raybestos), and there is Lokar so its not too bad.

BTW/ when running 15" wheels like me you are limited to 11" rotors. The Strange 11" rotor kit is the Explorer kit.
