Hello all, I'm brand new to this site. Can anyone tell me what Hemi A-body cars came with for front brakes? Were they small bolt pattern? I'm just starting a clone project and can't seem to find any oem brake info on these cars. I know there are lots of aftermarket vendors selling upgrade kits but I want to know what was original to the cars. Thanks in advance.

I'm just giving this a little thought and this is what i've come up with. May be wrong but they made the Hemi A's in 68 and 69. The auto cars came with 8.75 rears and the 4 speed cars came with the Dana 60. Dont think the dana ever came with a small bolt pattern. May be wrong. The BBP on the A body didn't come out till sometime in 73. Maybe they used some B body stuff on the front for that special project. Maybe they redrilled the dana axles? Interested in knowing myself.

A-bodies since 1978, this one since 1983

The only built them in 68. the only one that I have been all around has late model discs up front which lends credence to the small bolt up front theory.

The only information I have is from a magazine article in Mopar Action, October 1995. It says that the 68 hemi A bodies came with B body rear ends, Dana 60 series or 8-3/4. Front brakes were special disc brake rotor/hub assemblies with a 4-1/2 inch bolt circle and 1/2 inch wheel studs, part #2836148.
