Hi All. This is my first post on this board so be nice to me!
My current project is a '71 Duster that is being set up on the pattern of the Twister package. Can anyone give me the dimensions to locate the twin hood scoops? I need the distance from the back edge of the hood to the rear of the scoop, and maybe the edge to edge distance at the front of the scoops.
Also, did the Twister package scoops have bezels? I would assume that if they did, they were flat black like the rest of the hood treatment.

Yoy should be able to find the cut outs under the hood where you would get to the nuts. Dave

someone was selling paper templates on e-bay for $5.00, have'nt seen the add (auction) in a month or two. I have a Demon hood with all the correct holes in it. Not sure if the dimensions are the same from a Duster to Demon. I could take some pics. and send them to you....LMK

alot of those hoods had the cutouts already in the underside of the hood.. you just need to find them.. you start with the rear holes first(by the windshield). drill those two dead center and mark the rest of the studs.. its alot easier then you would think... here is the underside of my 71 dart hood. the arrow is pointing to the windshiels... hopefully your hood is predrilled.... here is how far back the holes are..

you know i was wondering how well they would go on a glass hood... were the studs long enough to go througe the thick part of the hood.(the back 2 studs)? or did you have to make them longer?

i think i had to get a couple of studs 1/2" longer, the supplied ones fit but just barely, not enough thread showing for my liking. note: this is a duster hood not a dart.

West, I notice you are using the stock type hood scoop seals. I bought them for my cuda scoops, but I installed them the other way around (thicker lip down). I wondered if you knew which way the originals were installed?

mine are installed with the thicker side on the bottom as well,it may be hard to see in the pic.And i would assume that's the correct position as it lets more air in being unubstructed by the lip.I really dont see a need for these but i bought mine so i could adapt a ram air to the scoops easier.i may modify an air cleaner to fit into them.

One of my long term projects is to try and hook up a ram air system to mine also. I have been looking at the ram air box, turned backwards, as my scoops are right at the rear of the hood.

west, looks like your scoops are in almost the same position as mine. I'd be interested in any progress you make on the ram air deal.
