According to the post I have been reading and learning from , you would have to reinforce the shock tower. 71

Wel you really need to ad reinforcement to the area. It was never meant to carry the weight of the car on the shock towers.

Take a look at this thread http://www.bigblockdart.com/index.php/topic,14703.30.html you'll see the way B1Valient did his supports. He did a very nice job. If you notice from the picture I copied over to here for reference, and made circles in red on, he has constructed it in such a way that the inward twisting force that will be created by the un-reinforced upper portion of the shock tower has been changed to a lifting force transfered to the roll cage extentions that exit the firewall and tie into the front of the frame rails. The way thats done, it should'nt move at all. JMO, Jeff. [attachment deleted by admin]
