Topic: looking for a brake line part,does it even exist? (Read 299 times)

i need a 3/8" male to male coupler for a brake line. this is a picture of a 3/8" fitting(left) and the female version of what i need(right)  i'm surprised i can't find this,what do you think if i were to braise to fittings together like this?

the flares are different on each end,it won't work.  thanks If you are referring to a 3/8" x 24 inverted flare coupling yes they do exist. I picked up half a dozen at my auto parts store. They have bulk bins with flared brake line fittings. I may not need one but picked them up just in case I screw up. Tom

Napa didn't have them either. I tried our smaller auto parts store called B and B which is popular in the Seattle area.
Industrial hydraulic supply shops would have them. Our local Hot Rod supply shops tend to carry them also. Where are you located?

If you can't find one, I'll mail you a couple. Don't worry about $$. Remember they also come in 90 degree ells also, I.F x I.F.

Just cut and re flare the lines using the appropriate fittings.
