Thanks!! That was a deal that was too good to pass up. I bought that car to turn it and make some money for my Dart project. Well, that was two years ago! ![\/][](http://www.bigblockdart.com/Smileys/classic/finger020.gif) But it is now up for sale so I can finish what I started. Great car, and some great memories with the family in that car. There's nothing like the torque of a big block Buick, and drives like a dream! I used to consider myself just a Mopar guy, but as I've grown older I realized I love all cars, especially ones you dont see eveyday! Thats why I have a 66 dart, and a 72 Stage 1. I cant wait to get the "Little A-Body" together though!!

Well when I got it I was thinking bigblock, but after I looked into it Im having second thoughts. Im definitely gonna go with the alterkation up front, bigger meats, and now maybe a small block. I would lke to run 10's on motor. I've never had a smallblock before, I dont know anything about building one. I've had bigblocks with nitrous before, so im all for the bottle. Just have never had smallblock. these new smallblocks arent so small anymore....... Are you an engine builder?

What's the low-down on your Valiant?? Cubic Inches, Rear gear, Et's, ect... Seem's like there's more fast Valiants around this site than early Darts. I like the look of yours, and theres a blue one I've seen that looks mean. I wish the Early A section had it's own photo gallery.

Have you built many smallblock mopes? Is this a realistic goal? (10's) The car should be relatively light, even after the cage. So I didnt think it would take a ton of HP. Maybe 600 or so without NOS. What do you think??

it will take about 570 sb hp to get a 3300 pound car in the high ten's with proper suspension..converter gears etc...so yes it's a very realistic goal..and street drivable...

I didnt weigh my car before before I took it apart. It had a 273 in it. I read somewhere it weighed 2800lbs from the factory but that may be wrong. My goal was 3000lbs w/out me. We'll see, It's a street car so it will have all the glass in it, door panels ect.. No heater, radio,ect..Basically a race car in disguise. I have alot of idea's I've alway's wanted to try so it should be fun

It's taken me over 10 yrs to get where I'm at now on it. Long story, anyway I'm almost ready to drive it. I'm hoping to make this years Mokan Dragway's mopar weekend. So I haven't had a chance to race it yet. Much less even drive it. Lee

Hey 340, you have a very nice piece there. How much more to you have to do? I see you have pics scattered over the site. I want to build my 63 Dart similar to yours. I sure would like to see those pics in one place.
Thanks, Mike
