Quarter panel difference?
« on: February 19, 2007, 04:25:27 PM »

I am working on a drag car 76 dart sport,  I have found rust in rear quarters and in trunck extensions. Year on sells quarterpanel skins for 70-71 duster for $351 or $488 for 72-76 duster or dart sport. Will the 70 duster panels work except for the side marker lights. Year one will not tell me one way or another? Do the panels require alot of mud work when finished? My cousin is a body man and should not have a problem with it but I was just curious.
I only have rust in the lower section of quarters. Would it be better to ony fix the rusted area behind the wheel or replace the whole quarter? I do have a few small dents that need repaired in the upper portion of the quarter.

if it was me - i would fix the dents and get a lower quarter patch panel, so you can keep as mutch of the original (thicker) metal as you can. the only difference in the skins is the marker lights. good luck.    -Evan
