i was born too late, so i can only imagine what it must have been like. cool cars, hot women, & better living thru chemistry. i probably never would have made it out alive! closest i can get is when i get behind the wheel of my mopar time machine & go for a cruise.

Yeah. You mean those stupid cube ones that had four flashes and they rotated 90 degrees as each picture was taken?

Yeah. You mean those stupid cube ones that had four flashes and they rotated 90 degrees as each picture was taken? Yeah man those too, but before the cube that mechanicaly rotated there was push in one time use ones, if ya forgot to change the flash bulb or had ashitty connection ya got no flash and blew the picture

I was born in the mid-sixties, so I can only remember back to the early 70's.
My great uncle had an outhouse and a hand pump outside when I was a kid. They kept a pail upstairs in case ya had to go in the middle of the night.
If it was 1960, I suppose I would have stuck with my first career, mechanical design, instead of my second career, computer networking. Of course, I would be designing with a pencil, t-square, and compass, but that's not all bad either! Actually, as late as 1986, I was still drafting with pencils.

Back then, if your child acted up, you could spank them...now, you have to call the police or you get thrown in jail for child abuse. America became pussyfied with all that's going on. Corporate America wasn't so greedy. Gas was cheap, so were cars, land was cheap. My 96 year old grandmother told me "that everybody wants more"! Working on a farm, running till dawn to dusk to survive, they did'nt get paid by the hour, when the wheat embargo happened in the late 60's early 70's, they sold the farm and retired. Now all the big businesses want to go to third world country's because of cheap labor to reap maximum profit without shelling out any tax dollars. Sold their souls to the devil, greed. I am grateful for what I have and what I am making at my job... it just seems it won't last forever.

I have been driving my blue Dart since I took delivery of it NEW on May 3,1967.
Poor little Dart has seen a LOT of Street Racing in 67 and 68, poor Rustangs and SS chebbies didn't know what hit them.
Got married in late 68 and the Dart turned into a daily driver until 1980, when it went thru a "Restoration" in my garage.
Those WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS. Oh to be young again and know then what I know now.
Thanks for the memories.

I remember the late 60s well, being born in late 1959. It wasn't about cars for me then, it was all about baseball into the early 70s. Baseball is still my first love. WE had a neighborhood full of kids around our age and an open field behind my house. Great times.
