Pinks teams
« on: February 24, 2007, 07:48:01 AM »

I am new to the pinks craze but whats the deal with these teams that repeat races but with a diffrent car same driver or some other scenario,I always see this one driver with the bent bill on his hat usually driving a nova. Thought this was average joes or anyone for the matter racing.

They probably get mad when they lose their car and borrow their girlfriends to try to win another!  Yikes.  Cheers

I saw 'Pinks' one day on the Speed Channel, and it was either a lot of drama with people arguing or crappy cars that got to start at the end of the 1/4 mile while the good ones had to start where you're supposed to ( to make it "fair" ). Sorry to bitch so much, but I didn't get it. If I wanted to see that I could just show up at the track with my four cylinder truck and start arguing with people myself.  Frustrated

I agree there is a lot of biching and moaning but,I would also if I thought I was gonna lose my car. I have seen probably 4 episodes but one made it worth my time,it had some texan who totally downplayed his car a called it a piece of junk racing a million dollar car. But MAN that car humped the track and he won by playing the other guy. Then at that very moment I realized I was watching a racers daytime Drama. \/][

I don't care for the show too much. The starting line "negotiations" suck, two drivers and a bunch of bench racers yelling in the background. Mr flagman's start routine kind of irritates me too Madd

I think "Mr. Flagman" is one of the worst parts. But I guess if they just used a tree like real racetracks, then they couldn't argue about the guy flinching his shoulders and that would mean less drama and arguing.  \/][

agree good point .. but then it wouldnt have the bullshite  fast and furious image that brings in younger veiwers that dont know any better and they wouldnt  beable to fill the 30 minute window without the drama .. lol bash

Thats one show I can honestly say I love it; AND I hate it! I dunno WHY they WON'T use a tree. Doesn't show anyones talent for being a "leaver". Some might say; "Well; it's supposed to be like the old days of street racing" I would have to say then; "If thats so; then don't allow the bottle!" Back in the "Flintstone" street drag days; they didn't even know you could use the
local dentists "laughing gas"  LOL

Hey Rob,

Here's a girl who could "deliver" a good flag waving! I've seen 5 or 6 shows and other than a nice Dodge Ram PU, I haven't seen ANY vehicle's that I would want to "win"!  \/][ puke

Rats. My UPS Guy is a fat guy with glasses. Frustrated

I wish you guys could see the Cave-Woman that delivers DHL at my work... It has been a running joke for years. She is 6'2'' and walks like that famous Big Foot video that is all blurry.
