Hey guys, I'm finally getting the front suspension back together and have run into a problem. I've done the disc brake conversion and found the outer tie rod shaft does not fit in the hole at the rear of the lower ball joint assembly. The tie rod shaft (pivot) is just a little bigger than the hole. Has anybody ran into this? What do I do now? Is it safe to enlarge a bit? Thanks for any suggestions.

It's a tapered hole try putting it in from the other side.

I would double check the ball joints and tie rods to make sure all of them are the same part number and size them next to each other. You can always find the wrong part in the right numbered box!

Thanks guys, I checked the part numbers on the boxes and and the tie rods are ok. The bal joint part numbers check out too. The outer tie rods will not fit in the hole from the top or bottom (even though there supposed to go in from the bottom) so it can't be the correct ball joint, or it was not made properly. I think I'm going to have to return the ball joints and get another set or maybe another brand. Thanks again for the help guys.
