Mounted battery box in trunk, Now when I run the cable to the firewall, do I go directly to the starter with the heavy cable or to the starter relay on the fire walll first? Or should I just run a smaller gage wire from the starter to the relay? Or "T" it on the way to the starter? Any Ideas would be great.

Run the cable to a slave solenoid (Ford style) on the firewall or inner fender. This way, the cable running through the headers is only energized during cranking. You have to jump out the starter mounted solenoid on the starter and move the pull in wire from the starter to the solenoid. This also gives the starter solenoid full battery voltage, so compression and hot starts are easier. I think Painless makes a kit called Hotshot or Hotstart.

that way it wont spark when you are messing around by the starter with a wrench or something! May I suggest you use the F*** style relay and mount it in the trunk? That way, the cable from F*** relay to the starter is not engaged during normal running. That way, if crap happens in the cable, it won't drain the battery. Don't forget to "weld" in a fire wall between where the rear seat braces are located..........safety should be the first priority when mounting a possible hydrogen releasing device in the trunk.

Ok, Now what about the starter relay, Do I wire that in also and if so what is the best way?. Run the power from the ford relay hot side to the original relay?

you could just leave it out. the wire from the ign. switch has enough juice to energize the ford relay

Make a very short jumper from the battery terminal on the starter to the pull in terminal on the starter solenoid. When the Ford solenoid sends power to the battery lug, it will energize the solenoid simoultaneously with full battery voltage. It works perfectly.
