I was reading "Comp. Engineering's Warnings" and they state "Shocks with a large pressure differential such as 90/10 should not be used on the Street" I would "Think" that the rear shocks set at 50/50 would be ok. I was thinking about the Ranchero 9000 as well as Monroe HD 1/2T pick up shocks , Now Comp Engineering . Decisions, Decisions

anybody else... I was thinking that I could run them on the street as long as they were not on 90/10... I am going with matching shocks in the front.

I haven't run those myself but I have talked to people that have and they say they didn't think they worked very well. The recommendations I have received are rancho adjustable shocks (the ones with a dial on them), QA1, or AFCO that you can adjust the compression and rebound. With any of these, you could adjust them for the street then switch them back for track conditions, all without unbolting them from the car, merely turn one knob or two depending on the shock model.

Let us know what you think, cuz that is what I am ultimately wanting to go with. Do they seem like they will be hard to change from street to strip? And were there any issues with installation?
Also do you have relocated or stock leaf springs and are the leaf springs original or SS or what...
Thank you

I've had my Comp Engineering 90/10's in the front of my Duster for about 10 years, and have never switched them from that setting for street use. To be honest, I don't even notice a difference between them and the stock replacements. [attachment deleted by admin]

if you're moving the springs in, keep in mind that this will move the shocks mounts closer together, requiring a shorter shock. I ran into this problem when I ordered a set of those comp. engineering shocks a while back. Those shocks are designed to be mounted in the stock location.

i would just buy two sets if you want both street performance and track performance.they take 5 minutes to change out.
