Having talked to several of the drivers, all the cars Pinks picked appeared to be running close to 10.0's. 2 Mopars made the 16 car pick. One had an oil leak when he pulled up to the burnout box and didn't get to make the run. He's out before he really got started. Another guy had his steering wheel come off some where around 2nd gear. Bet that was quite a shock.  71 Scamp made it to the finals and lost 1, won 1, and lost 1 against a mustang. Got to meet PlymanNos A.K.A. Bill. Great guy with a really nice car. He has the only Altrekation I have ever seen. Whoohoo...I see why you guys love that set up. Saw several really nice Mopars out there, too. And a few of AMC's, 2 Gremlin's and 1 AMX. Both Grem's had stroked small block chebies in 'em. I even caught one of the Pinks tee shirts the Pinks girls were throwing into the crowd. What a great day. The only thing that sucked was trying to get out of there when it was over. And should anyone be wondering...I did have on my other new tee shirt...  |
