I use poly upper control arm bushings and rubber (stock type) lower bushings. For ball joints, tie rod ends, etc,  I like Moog parts from Mancini racing.

i used just suspention poly bushings on everything including lower control arm- alot of people use a rubber one- and i am very happy with them, greased them up really nice and have only heard them squeak twice but that was down around 0* one cold morning

go with moog parts. using poly bushings. check on what type of lower control arm bushings in poly. some ,you need to leave the sleeve on the lower control shafts. some don't. Wink

I also used Just Suspension poly graphite on everything. Great people to work with and fitment was fine. So far(about 8 yrs) so good. However I do know Moog makes some quality components(have used them in many other apps.) Anyone seen the newer NAPA stuff? Sales guy just showed me some cutaways of ball joints and they look good! I am running poly stuff in the '73. I got it along with the front end tool kit (a must have!) from ESPO.com. Even though things were greased up well, I still notice some squeaking. The front of the '67 is next. From what I have read, it seems best to go rubber on the LCA and poly everywhere else.

Why do people use the rubber bushings for the lower control arms also the mancini kit comes without the outer shell, do they not wear.
Sorry to hijack.

The Urethane bushing will not seat properly, and when tyhe white grease is applied the bushing can be inserted and removed by hand.  The proper torque cannot be applied even with an air tool because the bushing will spin even with the full weight of the car on the suspension.

how do you remove the lower control arm bushing &  pin? .. do you just press out the pin and then press out the bushing? looks like you press the pin out through the torsion bar hole..

Check out the American Muscle front end tools for the Mopars - most all of the big suspension places carry them.
They make things incredibly easy when rebuilding out cars. The kit I got has the tools for pulling the pins, replacing LCA and UCA bushings, spliting ball joints and for removing the T bars. They save alot of blood sweat and tears when rebuilding the front end.

Bill had a big write-up on the rubber vs poly LCA bushings here somewhere - poke around the tech pages.

The shop is responsible for replacing the damaged parts and repairing them at the original price quoted, its called cost of doing business.  Why not upgrade to the newert type UCA, bill should be able to help with the conversion.

I would say the shop has Some Responsiblty alright . I would go after them , but you may not have much Luck      As far as your front end parts go , I went with the Complete "Poly Graphite Kit" from PST  Good price and Good parts .

Press out the pin. Remove the rubber by flame or other means. Weld a washer inside the shell and press it out.
