In March of 73?  Let me see if I can remember....Hummmmm...I was 22 ...I know I was drivin around in my 69 1/2 Cougar Eliminator, I'd been married 2 years, we were building a new garage at the house we bought so the engine assembly could move out of my kitchen and into a place of it's own, He was just getting into building a 67 cuda for the strip, that's when the racing started, then he moved onto his 71 Duster SS/IA car.  I was working as a hair stylist back then, one thing I remember was guys from the airbase where the EX worked were coming to me to get perms, tight ones so they could have Afro hair styles cause afro's as long as they didn't lay on your neck were accepted as military haircuts, the guys were trying to buck the military's rules on proper hair length... Frustrated...Whatelse?  Listened to a lot of Credence Clearwater, the Stones, Jethro Tull....etc....I was making Sandcast Candles and leather Peace signs along with some Macrame wall art and selling them at craft shows as a hobby... \/][...Never smoked weed until I was in my 30's, just wasn't into that scene.  Lots of people were overdosing on drugs, and fleeing to Canada to avoid the draft...Boy, those were some memorable times.... drinks

I was 11 years old, but had an older brother.  We wore that Machine Head album out!  I can still hear it popping and crackling.

4 finger bags for $20 that were full of brown Mexican ditch weed.  You used to have to smoke so much you didn't know if you were getting high or just asphyxiated from the lack of oxygen.  Ah, those were the days.

I was 10 years old and I could remember building schwinn bikes into choppers and watching Dad at Englishtown racing, plastered up against the fence every time he would make a pass, then he came over to the spectator side to see us because we weren't allowed in the pits. He did very well for a Q/SA car, even had a record for a year. Still listen to Deep Purple, saw them 2 years ago at the Cultural center in Scranton, PA, and the show KICKED ASS!!!! Times were much better then. Also wishing for one of those funny looking cars with the big wing on the back, I got the car, just need the time to put it together and enjoy it!!

I was a Jr in my 11th grade high school year.  I already loved Mopars and was a Sox & Martin nut.   To me they were it.....the best of the best and the best there ever was.  I was working on buying a 66 Dart with a 273 hi po.  My brother had a 68 Dart 340 GTS 4-speed.   And life was GREAT !  I loved it......Mopars and muscle cars everywhere and life was so simple.  Man I miss them days.   Grin   Ron

10th Grade. Driver's license. First car (a 1957 VW), then my second car toward the end of 1973. This time it was a red 1965 Mustang Fastback with a 289 and a manual 3-Speed. Like this one, almost exactly, but without the white stripe..

Price was $450.00... Grin

Was married with two kids and my 1971 Swinger  only had about 30,000 miles and was only three years old. Today it is coming up on 37 years old and has over 400,000 miles on it. Life was good and today it is even better.

Have never tried any "Weed" or any other drug. Whew

was that the year Son of Sam was running around? If it was, I remember being at my cousin's house while my parents were away and my cousin and I being afraid Son of Sam was going to getus. My uncle was laughing at us because we were out on Long Island.
