Topic: My new 68 Barracuda is home...340 dates included (Read 540 times)

   I picked up a few 340's today...I've got 2 more 4 speeds...the 8.75 suregrip with 4.10 gears are already installed. This car has potential....Some 1/4 panel rust. the trunk is need of a little attention too. I've got just about everything, but time. |

The thing that scares me about this car.. Is it's been apart for about 10 years....I have everything minus a few interior panels and seals. Maybe I can get my Brother inlaw interested?? nah  |

Cool car. A word of advice. Don't get discouraged. It will be worth it in the end. A knotch back Cuda is very cool.

It doesn't look bad. Are any of the 340s 68s with very early casting dates (mid-summer of 67)?

Way to go! Gotta love those notchbacks,like the guys have said don't be discouraged I got mine in just as bad condition..now its getting there but its the build that we go for!

Does the 67 date casting have a VIN stamped on the bell housing rail near the top? What kind of shape is it in? I might be interested in a trade.

I am just itching to get mine on the road, and I probably have another couple years to go before I am ready, but she looks much better now with the paint and crazy stripes. I love notch's. |
