My new 68 Barracuda is home...340 dates included
« on: April 08, 2007, 09:49:44 PM »

I picked up a few 340's today...I've got 2 more 4 speeds...the 8.75 suregrip with 4.10
gears are already installed. This car has potential....Some 1/4 panel rust. the trunk is
need of a little attention too. I've got just about everything, but time.

Looks like a good project.  I know mine will take another 14 + months to get done, but should be worth it.

The thing that scares me about this car.. Is it's been apart for about 10 years....I have everything minus a few interior panels and seals. Maybe I can get my Brother inlaw interested?? nah cat fight

It doesn't look bad. Are any of the 340s 68s with very early casting dates (mid-summer of 67)?

I'm going to work on this car with my Brother-inlaw. I've promised him a 340 with a 4 speed. He's the guy that sold me the Charger.

Does the 67 date casting have a VIN stamped on the bell housing rail near the top? What kind of shape is it in? I might be interested in a trade.

I need 8B111754. Well, I don't really need it, but it would complete my car. It's been gone from my GTS since around 1980. Thanks for looking.

Tell me about it.
I am just itching to get mine on the road, and I probably have another couple years to go before I am ready, but she looks much better now with the paint and crazy stripes.
I love notch's.
