Well, i screwed up thinking the summit exhaust kit would somehow fit in my Dart. The thing is , i have the big frame connecters in there--no way its going to work, will be too low . I thought it might work with my Hooker fenderwells-----nope. (yes, i knew it was made for a different header...) ANYWAY--looks like the pipes will run straight out of the collectors to some muffs (on the outside of the frame connector) , exiting in front of the rear tires. SO--what are you guys running for round mufflers that have 3" in/outs ? ![\/][](http://www.bigblockdart.com/Smileys/classic/finger020.gif) got any pics?

Not that im laughing or anything but thats funny. I am in the exact same situation as you! I am going to do the exact same thing also...I am buying the 3" Dynomax Bullet mufflers. My buddy has them on his LS1 Camaro and they are loud. He also has turndowns in front of the axle, mine will be more to the outside infront of rear wheels, as you have already thought of as well. I think givin the fact that we have subframe connectors and the car will see some street duty, there really isnt anything else UNLESS, you go with that HIGH$$$$ oval stuff. OH and I was thinking of the same summit kit you tried. I would almost put this thread in the tech section so someone else doesnt make the same mistake....or at least go into it knowing someone else tried it with unfavorable results. If I come up with something different that works you will be the first person I talk to!

Look at the dynomax bullets....they are like $45-50 bucks through Summit. If you can, take some pics, I would like to see how yours turns out. I really think those pics should make it to the tech section too.

I have the same situation with my Dart project. What Iam going to try is make a passage through the subframe connector either useing heavy walled pipe or boxing, the car is caged so I do not think I will lose much stiffing. I will drop to 3 inch off the header flange go back a couple feet install a 3 inch flange to for mounting a electric exhaust cut out then continue streight back to a turn out in front of the rear tire. I plan "t"ing off the 3 inch pipe and going through the passage (in front of the cut out) then useing the summit 3 inch system to the back,I also bought two of their 18 inch bullets to install in the rear of the car I did not think their mufflers alone would be quiet enough.
