Window regulator spring

I am planning on replacing all of the windows in the Dart with polycarbonate (LexanŽ). I also intend to retain the window regulators in the front. Does anyone know how I might modify the window regulator springs for less tension?

If this car is going to be a race car ONLY, you will be able to use the Lexan. If the car is going to be a driver and you have inspections in the state you live in, you better check, in most states, you have to have safety glass. Been there, tried that!!. In my state, no Lexan for the street, only safety glass. So before you go and start removing glass, CHECK FIRST!!!
