Where to mount aftermarket fuse panel?
« on: April 14, 2007, 08:12:13 PM »

Ok started laying out my wiring harness today but I'm not for certain where I want the fuse panel mounted under the dash, those with aftermarket harnesses where did you mount yours? I wanted to mount it in the trunk but there's not really enough slack without splicing in more wire so under the dash it goes..It's an EZ Wiring Harness off Ebay....

do you have a heater?
also, if you have the cowl vent opened up you can cover the big round hole with sheet metal and it would make a nice big flat surface for mounting somthing.
i put mine here,it could go higher but i wanted easy accesability.

Yeah I'm keeping my heater, all the underdash componants are staying, except for aftermarket gauges and wiring...

Thanks James, didnt think of that one, maybe lose the box part itself and put a plate in with the panel mounted to it so it's right there when you open the glove box door! As long as they gave me enough slack I might do that!...This harness is well made but some more slack would have been nice.

I put mine behind the driver side kick panel. Makes it stick out just a bit but it's really easy to get to. Can pop it out with the door sill on no problem.
