Just have to share our joy! I know this is not an a-body but you have to love any great Mopar! While searching out the report of a 340 Duster that turned out to be a 340 Demon Clone (yeah we got it) the gentleman goes "that's a Superbee over there". Check out the first pic, we were all like where? I took that pic standing about 10 feet away no kidding. We climbed in the thicket and sure enough there was a 69 Superbee. The short list is that the car is a 69 Bee, 383HP, 4spd, Ramcharger option, quarter scoops, buckets, AM 8-track, rallye gauge with TTTach! Took another week to close the deal but it happened, we cut the Bee out and took it to the house. I thought the Ramcharger system and scoops were missing but we found them in the trunk. Everything is there except the buckets and the carb. You know this one is gonna get saved! Frame is good it will need trunk floors, etc. The biggest challenge will be some pretty nasty roof cancer but we are already collecting parts for the rebuild.  [attachment deleted by admin] |

Great find. I love those decked with the quarter scoops and Ramcharger package. If I hadn't been chasing a-body convertibles in the 80s that's what I'd probably have today. My wife likes the Bee emblem so much that we bought an NOS one back in the early 80s just to put on her dresser.

I have a couple more pic's that I'll post in the morning. Someone asked about the price, we were lucky and it was <5k. Does anyone have any parts? We will need a trunk deck and we have a great Coronet hood but I'm not sure that the Ramcharger system will mount up to it. We would also have to cut in the scoops. We are just learning about the b-bodies we have always been all a's until the Road Runner and the Super Bee found us this year. |

The Ram Charger should fit, you just need to drill the holes and get the clips. I have a Fresh Air RR hood I could take a pic of and so does A13 Dart.

BBDart Nation, We really appreciate all of the support and response to the Super Bee find. We joke that the Mopar Gods have been smiling on us this year! Our engine builder, who is a career Mopar guy, says we are the luckiest #*#**&@ he has every seen to score a #matching Road Runner and Super Bee in the last 3 months. Luck, fate whatever it is we'll take it! I posted a couple of additional pic's of the Bee. The car has Coronet 440 fenders and hood, the owner says that he ditched it once in a drag race. It is amazing that he removed and kept the Ramcharger and scoops! The car was parked due to carb trouble in '85, the owner moved away and the car was left in the field beside the barn. 22yrs later we were in the right place at the right time. Thank goodness for the heavy camo that covered the car and kept it out of sight or it would have been gone long ago. Even though we have added the 2 b-bodies to the family we are still a-body at heart, I was able to lay my hands on a 71 Duster 340 4spd 2 weeks ago, the jury is out on weather or not it can be had but I'm all over it! The roof is a light f4 light green and the body is f8 dark green, the interior is also green and it has a green tail strip, though it was wearing a white tail stripe when i got it. It's been quite a long project because of alot of missing interior pieces, but it actually should be going to paint in a few months.
