replacing torsion bar mounts

I was thinking about it and was wondering seeing as i'm going to be getting an alterktion what if i wee to cut out both mounts an replace them with a solid piece if tubing going from one side to the other. something like this competition engineering transmission mount drop. but use it with the bend upwards. would that be possible?
